About Us

Marshland Acres is owned & operated by Marty & Mary Weiss. We are the 4th generation to work this century old farm. We have one son, three daughters and four grandchildren. Our son, Bronson, farms with us and is working toward becoming the 5th generation. We own close to 1000 acres of land and rent 800 acres. With a majority of the acreage under irrigation. This allows us to provide the best quality feed for your heifers.

Our History

Our farm was founded in 1903 by our great grandfather. Farming was his way of life and has remained so through 4 generations. The operation has taken many turns in its 106 year history.The farm originally started with dairy cows. As the years progressed, Marshland Acres was one of the top 1% of dairy producers in Wisconsin. In September of 1992, we sustained a tragic barn fire. When times were tough we built the farm up again. We take and glean on what we've learned in the past and apply it to our farm today - but, are not stuck on that, we are not afraid to look into the future. In the fall of 1994 the doors were opened to Marshland Acres Custom Heifer Raising facility.

Our aim is to fulfill our customers needs and furnish the highest quality care for your animals. We will customize your heifers care to your precise requirements.

The improvements continue. Facility expansions, irrigation systems and acquiring more land - Marshland Acres are always looking for a better way to deliver the finest quality dairy heifers!
