Prairie Ag Supply

Marshland Acres is a well-managed heifer growing operation. They work hard to do an excellent job managing the animals and crop production, and it shows in the well-grown animals that leave the farm. With such attention to detail, the heifers are allowed to grow to their potential, and return to the home-farms in excellent shape and ready to perform! The Weiss’s take pride in their work, and will work hard for you if you choose to work with them.

ABS Breeding Team

In August of 2015, ABS took over the reproduction management at Marshland Acres. This was the beginning of a partnership between Marshland Acres and ABS. We are working together to provide top of the line genetic improvement and service for the customers at Marshland Acres. By choosing Marshland Acres, you will be gaining a genetic team with over 50 years of combined experience in the diary industry. The genetic team working here are specialists in heat synchronization, heat detection, semen handling, insemination techniques, and the logistics of an A.I. program. We will work with you to bring the optimum genetic line up, tailored to the specific needs of your dairy.

Recently, ABS started sending out monthly reports that will give details on how your heifers are doing and what can be done to help improve the results. These reports are reviewed, in detail, with the staff at Marshland Acres to ensure consistency and uniformity between all team members. This ensures that we are delivering pregnant heifers, carrying top of the line calves, and ultimately increasing the profitability of your dairy.
